Book "Know the amphibians, reptiles and mammals of Latvia"


The fauna of Latvia includes 13 species of amphibians, 7 of reptiles and 76 of mammals. They can be found in a single edition, continuing the series of books on Latvia's nature aimed at a wide range of interested readers. Some of these animals can be seen all year round, others migrate to warmer lands every autumn or hibernate here until the following spring. In addition to native species, rare and occasional mammals from the Baltic Sea coast and the Gulf of Riga are also included. The species are described and named in six foreign languages, their life-style and distribution are explained, and the 35 families are described in more detail. One to three colour drawings help to identify each species - 120 high-quality images in this richly illustrated edition. The book "Know the amphibians, reptiles and mammals of Latvia" invites everyone to learn more about Latvia's nature; it will be useful for beginners and those with prior knowledge.
