A colourful A1-sized poster, ‘Get to know the most common mushrooms in Latvia’.
It features the species of mushrooms found in Latvia that everyone should be familiar with, together with pictures and the Latvian and Latin names for each species.

There are more than 4,000 species of mushrooms found in Latvia, of which at least 300 are edible, whilst around 30 are poisonous or highly poisonous. The majority of the mushrooms found here are simply not edible for various reasons. This poster features the 43 most common mushrooms found in Latvia’s forests: coniferous, mixed (which are the most common type) and deciduous. Everyone should know them! The publication includes the most common edible species found in mushroom pickers’ baskets, as well as inedible ones (usually due to their bitter taste) and poisonous ones – these must be left untouched in the forest!
