In today's age of new technologies, vision, as one of the most important aspects of human quality of life, is becoming increasingly important. Ophthalmology has developed rapidly in recent years. New diagnostic and treatment technologies and methods are being invented and implemented in practice.
In the hope that information about eye diseases in Latvian will be useful both to medical students and doctors who encounter patients with eye diseases in their work, the teaching staff of the Department of Ophthalmology at Riga Stradiņš University has compiled a book that summarizes both basic knowledge and modern insights into the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases.
