The physical development standards for Latvian children can be used by parents to monitor their child's development, as well as by medical staff at organized children's institutions, family doctors and specialists to draw attention to the early diagnosis of growth and development disorders in young patients and to monitor their physical development. The standards can also be used by sports teachers and coaches to plan the physical activity load of their students during sports lessons.
