Similar to the XT M8020s in looks, the real difference comes in the SPD redesign, featuring much higher retention strength for keeping the foot in place on steep drops, while also disengaging quicker for immediate control.

With a special SPD design suited particularly to BMX racing, the DXR MX70 Pedals provide high-strength retention to hold the foot in place under extreme force and keep you stable mid-flight. At the same time, a 3.5-degree narrower release angle means quicker disengagement when you need extra foot control and stability. The platform is extra wide for more effective power transfer from foot to crankarm, and double-sided SPD binds are thiner to reduce stack height, giving extra stability under load. An integrated cage around the SPD bind protects from object strikes to prevent pedal damage mid-race, and for long-lasting use the chrome-moly spindle and sealed bearings are low maintenance and built to turn for an age.
